EMDR & IFS Intensives

Extended, focused therapy for deeper, faster change

Sometimes, meaningful progress in therapy gets slowed down—not because you’re doing anything wrong, but because 50-minute sessions simply aren’t designed for the depth your system is ready for. If you’ve ever felt like you’re just getting into something important when time runs out, intensives may be a better fit.

What Are Therapy Intensives?

Therapy intensives are extended sessions (typically 2–4 hours or more) designed to give you the time and space to fully engage in the therapeutic process without interruption. Instead of stopping mid-processing and picking back up a week later, intensives allow us to stay with what’s emerging—emotionally, cognitively, and somatically—until it reaches a more natural resolution point.

Intensives can be scheduled as:

  • A single extended session

  • Half-day or full-day experiences

  • Multi-session packages over days or weeks

They can be done virtually or in-person, depending on your needs.

Why Choose an Intensive?

  • Break through stuck points: If you’ve been circling the same patterns, insights, or emotional blocks in weekly therapy, intensives create the conditions for movement. We’re not restarting each week—we’re building momentum.

  • Stay with the process long enough for change to occur: In standard sessions, processing often gets cut off just as it’s deepening. Intensives allow us to follow the thread all the way through, which can lead to more complete emotional processing and integration.

  • Access deeper emotional and somatic material: Longer sessions support a more immersive, “bottom-up” experience—where your nervous system, not just your thoughts, has the time to shift.

  • Reduce the stop-and-start cycle: Instead of spending part of each session catching up or re-orienting, intensives create continuity. This often leads to more efficient and impactful work.

  • Accelerate meaningful change: While not a “quick fix,” intensives can condense months of work into a shorter period of time by allowing sustained focus and depth.

Common Focus Areas

  • Anxiety and panic triggers

  • Trauma memories (single-incident or specific targets)

  • Fear of flying or other specific phobias

  • Shame, guilt, or harsh self-criticism

  • Moments that still feel emotionally charged

  • Patterns of overthinking, avoidance, or emotional shutdown
